So today I made this little bunting banner for Char's party. I made it from red felt semi-circles and red ribbon with white polka dots. It took about 20 minutes, and cost about $2.
I think I will hang it from these trees during her party. But here is my question: do you think I should add letters - like "charlotte", or "happy birthday"? I made 16 semi-circles so whatever I would add has to fit within those guidelines. I could make the letters out of white felt and glue them to the red. What do you think?
I think Happy Birthday would be very cute!

I think that you should add happy birthday if you can add happy 2nd birthday that is exactly 16 letters so maybe not maybe just happy birthday

they're super cute as is, but if you opt to add wording how about using double stick tape to adhere the letters? then they'll be removable and you can use the bunting for other stuffs :)

I would leave it be and have Happy Birthday on something else, that way you can use it again for other occasions, it is cute as a button!!!

I kind of like the simplicity and versatility of the this without any lettering--but I don't doubt the increased cuteness with them as well!
ReplyDeleteooo I really like the idea of using double sided tape, then it would be reusable...hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of adding letters with double stick tape to make it re-usable. If you cut out some cute felt imagines of woodland animals or butterflies and put one on each end of the words that would be cute too (if you had enough space).
ReplyDeleteVelcro is another removeable option, but double sided tape is probably cheaper. Love the addition of butterflies idea!

If you can add the letters without permanently gluing them on it will mean you can get so much more use out of them but still makes it personal for your little one.
ReplyDeleteI like 2 of these ideas, the woodland animals and the sticky taped letters. Very cute!
